I guess it's time to officially join the blogging world, since I have been informed that Facebook doesn't really count. My friend Stacy has been my inspiration in this endeavor, she has brought many tears from laughter to our eyes as we sit around and read her blogs. I love the simplicity of keeping up with sweet moments in the lives of some of our dearest friends even when the distance between us may increase. And hey, do you think this can count as journaling also? :)
I guess the emotion of moving is starting to catch up with me as we prepare to leave the place we have called home for the last 16 years. I find myself a little more reflective and thankful for the many blessings and friends in our lives. It will be hard to leave so many friends and family behind in the great state of Texas and this is one more attempt to keep them with me as we take the huge leap to the frozen north. I know that it has been my dream for years to live in the mountains and look out the window and see the falling snow but as the last 5 days of our home sweet home end here in Texas I find myself a little more attached to the green grass in November and the 70 degree temp during the day. Don't worry York and Stacy- we will make someone else crazy as we are gathered around a campfire telling them year after year that we are contemplating moving and leaving the frozen north and returning to our home in Texas... and maybe we will confess that the Aggies are not that bad.
