We are all having so much fun trying to learn how to snowboard. Ben and Manda seem to be the most natural at it. Rick is pretty good- hopefully his back will not get broken! I am wanting to snowboard but just seem to wipe out. I am determined to get it! Last week was Rick's company christmas party and Emma was determined that she was going to win something on the cake walk. Sam won right away and then again awhile later. We were worried that Emma was going to feel sad. Rick went to check on her and she told him "I am going to try, and try and try until I win." We didn't know she had such determination because at our house she simply throws herself down into a crying tantrum until someone gives in, which usually doesn't take long. She hung in there until the second to last round when she finally won a plate of cookies (which I do not believe had any sugar...yuck). She was so proud and we were impressed with her ability to hang in there. So now when I wipe out on that silly snowboard I think of Emma and repeat to myself "I am going to try, and try and try until I win"... or die.
