my tooth is shaken
Emma has been so excited about her tooth being "shaken". One thing that I have noticed with the 5th child and baby of the family is that I am not in a hurry to correct the way she speaks. I guess it's just one of those things that happens as you get older and more comfortable with parenting, you realize how quickly the time goes by and hold on to it. She is saying fewer and fewer words incorrectly and I find myself just smiling and loving the way she expresses herself.
This morning she woke up and exclaimed in her very "Emma" way, "My tooth popped and now it is really, really shaken". I just smiled, had her open her mouth and felt her first little loose tooth. It was pretty "shaken". All day she kept wiggling it and wiggling it, letting us help and when Daddy got home from work she let him work at it. Daddy got it to the bleeding stage which caused a little tiny bit of panic but not too bad considering she is our little drama baby. She quickly calmed down and then let me pull it out. I am not positive, but this may the first tooth that I have taken out. That is typically not my cup of tea... I usually refer that one over to someone else in the family. Emma was very happy, even when the blood started coming out. I was very impressed that she handled her first "shaken" tooth so well. Hopefully the Tooth Fairy will actually show up, I think Sammy got ripped off last month when he lost two teeth- darn fairy!
