Get-A-Way

We sure love the area that we live in. Having said that, I have to confess that the winter can be fun but also draining. It is hard having dreary, gray, cold days. There is something to be said about getting away during the winter season and escaping to a warm place. Since our house hasn't sold yet, we have to be creative. So we loaded up the kids and took off even further north but to an indoor water park complete with sunroof, heat, humidity (which Manda loved), and lots of water. It was a much needed, fun escape for a couple of days. It was a little pricey but well worth every penny just to feel warm, wet and having fun as a family.

Emma totally surprised us, her fear of water is completely gone. She just couldn't get enough of it and even went down the slides with her Daddy. Of course she made friends while we were there but surprised us with "who" her friends were. The hot tub was huge and has an inside and outside portion. While I was sitting inside enjoying the warmth she would wander in and out. One time she came back in and said to me, "Mommy, I just made some friends and they are really nice boys". I asked her about them and she said, "They asked me how old my sister was, and I said I don't know? But I am six. Isn't that nice?" LOL... very smart to use a 6 year old to hit on her older sister! I guess that was good preparation for what she would face in Rexburg! =) Poor, Poor girl.
