Ice Fishing

Emma just cracks us up. She is her Daddy's fishing partner, she just can't get enough of it. Right now on the top of her "want list" is "her very own fishing net to scoop the fish up with". It's not just the throwing the line out and reeling it back in she loves, it is every part of fishing. One time she even offered to help cut them up so we could hurry and eat them. She can be such a little princess but throw a pole in her hand (even if it is pink) and see her turn into a mad woman.

Sam and I go along for the adventure. We usually don't last as long before just giving up on fishing and finding something else to entertain us- like taking pictures, making movies or drilling more holes in the ice just for the fun of it. This year I made a drastic improvement and even went out on the ice instead of yelling from the sidelines for Rick to watch the kids more carefully. I heard that it only takes 14 inches of solid ice for a semi to drive on it so I figured that a good 12 inches could probably hold me up! =)

These pics are from last weekend at our usual spot. Next weekend we are going to go try out a different spot and look forward to adding more pics to our collection.
