What a bundle of joy she has been. We were so excited when we found out we were expecting our little princess. Rick and I were both sure that it was a girl, and couldn't wait to set our eyes on her. She has been so much fun to watch grow. How has six years already gone by? She looks so much like Laura did and sounds so much like Amanda sounded (non stop chatter). We sure love all the questions that she brings up and her big loving heart. She constantly reminds us of the goodness of our Father in Heaven and the blessings of obedience. Every time I think back and remember the doctor telling us not to have any more babies after Ben was born, I am so thankful for prayer and the gift of the Holy Ghost. I remember how strongly we felt impressed not to worry about the counsel that the doctor gave and to press forward and grow our family. Sammy and Emma have been such blessings and our family just wouldn't be complete without them. I am humbled to think about the strong promptings that Rick and I both received when it was time to bring Emma into our family. We both knew that it was a girl and did not doubt- to the point that we had a discussion about it with my doctor right before he did the ultra sound. He asked what we thought we were having and we told him that we knew it was a little girl. His face did look somewhat shocked as he looked into the screen and said we could be right but not to paint the room pink just yet. We knew she was there and are thankful every day for the blessings that she brings to our family.
