Emma has become a little northerner. She cracks us up while walking around dramatically saying "Oh, I am so hot", while the rest of us may be feeling barely warm- or more like just not shivering! She was counting days down until Spring was officially here and the day before she kept getting so excited saying "It is almost here!". She asked me if she could get the sprinkler out and play in the yard with the hose? I told her "NO WAY". Her response was "Oh yeah, we left our hose in Texas, but don't worry Mommy we can go to Walmart and buy a new one!" You can imagine her look of shock and horror as I had to inform her in my best motherly voice that "It isn't even warm!". Well, I admit that my definition of warm has been changing and what I used to consider cold I now consider warm but give me a break. We have been lucky to see the high 40's and 50's is a dream come true. Well, would you believe that the first day of Spring the temps actually were soaring at 66? Emma was just thrilled and made sure to tell us all "See, I told you it would be warm at Spring time!". But she still didn't get to go play in the sprinkler, she had to make due with running around in her "ballet" outfit and dancing through the yard.

Not warm enough?! Give it another year and you'll be playing in the sprinkler when it's 60 degrees.
