Last week Rick and I spent the week in Spokane. Rick had a conference and I had to play. For those of you who know us, it was just the usual. I am grateful that he is the kind of husband that likes to bring me along even when he is working! Spokane is only 80'ish miles from home which was nice since I couldn't really make it through the week without being summoned to go back home due to one child needing to get to the doctors. But, it was a grand week at a very nice OLD hotel-my favorite!
I included a picture of the bed, because I did a lot of SLEEPING making up for the lack of sleep that seems to be the case at our house. Will that ever change? I am convinced that the thought of sleep is some cruel joke. In the early years of motherhood it seems like it is expected to go without, then comes the worries of them growing up and what you need to do and learn. Next comes their worries and the late night talks. Following that is the concern of how to let them make their own decisions and not interfere too much all the while wondering how time has gone by so quickly. Finally, when they are all grown up I hear that old age keeps you from sleeping! Oh well, thank goodness for husbands who take their poor tired wives on business trips so they can catch up on sleep.

I'm glad the hotel lived up to it's expectations. Love the pictures!
