Wedding Preparations = Girl Party!!!

Can you say G-I-R-L P-A-R-T-Y??? We had so much fun helping prepare Laura for her wedding. We had a couple planning weekends, followed by a shopping day in Boise. It was really hard to find a wedding dress. First, dresses are SO expensive. Second, dresses these days are SO immodest. Even shopping the patterns it was nearly impossible to find something that was appropriate. Fortunately Laura had found a dress in an LDS owned shop that she liked. With that in mind we hit the pattern books to find something similar. It was such a blessing that Carol, Laura's future mother in law is such a talented seamstress and was able to piece two patterns together to create the dress that Laura dreamed of!

We also went and picked up Laura's temple clothes, went to the LDS bookstore, jewelry store, out to eat and had a fun night in the hotel together. Everyone had their own ideas in the fabric store of what they liked. Carol (Ben's Mom) and Leisel ( Ben's youngest sister) also joined us for the weekend. It was great fun, but I sure hope we don't have another wedding for a very, very long time!!!
