The little stinker stopped screaming long enough to actually smile on the way down the escalator. Only to remember how heart broken she was about her sister being gone for a whole 4 days as we neared the bottom of the stairs. She continued to have moments of calm and happiness followed by bursts of heart ache for the following 4 hours! It was such a fun drive home from the airport. I finally pulled over and threatened to spank her if she didn't stop crying so loudly( yes, one of my finer mothering moments). I told her she could be sad but she had to do it quietly. The next day she was telling her Daddy about it and said "it was so hard to come home because my heart hurt and I was very sad and mommy said I had to be quiet about it". What can I say??? There is only so much heart ache I can take!
